Why does the iPhone app not work, spend must time looking on iPhone but when want to give a answer will not do anything or have to re type it 4 times to get it to post

Probably for the same reason the general thing doesn't work properly mate. Take a look at a thread down at the dusty end where no one goes much. Called something like forum problems

after tying to reply to you 5 times, got laptop out and think it might work this time, have had a look, and think it might be time for a upgrade

There are good points and bad points to come from this thread....Bad point is your mobile phone doesn't operate as it should......Good point is that mine does

It's the iPhone app

Try Tapatalk then, I find it very reliable. Even compared to my PC it never crashes when browsing or posting.

We have discussed this before recently and I cannot find the thread at the moment, but as Dillb said bascially, the site app is Carp and tapatalk the way to go, the only set back with tapatalk is that you cannot open the pages to see who has given you likes but hey ho no big deal, otherwise it works very well here.

But then it's always a nice surprise when you do go on the computer and you 15 notifications of likes or what ever...makes you feel wanted when your eating your microwave beef lasagne at home.....alone....ha ha

Will try tapatalk, thanks

My beloved Tidyboiler has recently given me one of these iPhone things - don't get excited, it's not a new one, it's her old one - and if anybody here can tell me what I'm supposed to do with it then please do. As far as I can tell it does everything except make a telephone call which is all I want it to do!!!

I may as well use two soup tins with a bit of string between them.

Sounds like you have an Ipod not an Iphone mate, it is for checking your mail, keeping photos on there, all your music, play games and browse the internet.

Nah! ..... it's a phone all right - at least it was when she owned it and yapped at me through it.

I can use it as a phone and have done but it's a bit of a faff, but the Sony Xperia thing that I lost was if anything worse! The whole mobile phone thing to me has got too complicated to the point where one almost needs some sort of qualification in IT just to make a phone call.

I remember when mobile phone were in their infancy and Motorola were making them quite chunky and a mobile phone was just what it was - a telephone. I was working in Exhibition Contracting and a couple of in the crew had them. My mate managed to drop one from the top of a scaff tower at a venue in the Seaburn Centre at Seaburn and it bounced a couple of times off the floor and a little piece broke off the corner and it still worked.

KISS (keep it simple stupid)
