    Old Domestic Servants/Butlers call system

I'm just in the process of starting a rewire in a 1930's house, and the new owner has asked if the old servant/butler call system could be put back into service. It's not functioning at present, but I've not looked into any detail as to why. Anyone familiar with how they are supposed to work?

    Stud finder recommendations

My old stud finder has given up the ghost, it was a cheap and cheerful no brand make but did the job I needed it for - finding studs & joists. Has anyone got recommendations for a replacement? Had a play with an expensive Bosch one the kitchen fitter had and found it horrible to use.

Ok, so it's from 2015, but seriously? Amazingly, the company still seems to be operating. @Risteard @Phil Thompson @Matthewd29 is this the kind of garbage prices we need to compete with? Company this advert is from is based in Lisburn.

    Dewalt Green Laser Level...Which One?

I'm looking to add a Green Laser Level to the tool collection, but a little torn over which one to get. I've had a Dewalt DW087K for years and it's still as accurate and good as the day I bought it. Like all red laser levels it struggles a bit in bright conditions. I'm a little torn between 2...

Earth Leakage Clamp Meter...Why do I need one?

I've read various threads on faults and it's been suggested that an Earth Leakage Clamp Meter is an essential bit of kit and some suggesting it is the first go to bit of kit in fault finding. What am I missing out on then? I do numerous call outs, and have yet to be beaten on one. What's it...

    Electraform for Certificates

Has anyone tried it? Link is here. It looks like a decent enough product. I use Easycert at the minute which I like but to do a cert I need to use a Windoze PC [which I hate] (it has a mobile version which I find carp). Electraform is £1 a certificate, which looks cheap on the face of it but...
