Cavity wall access from Loft to 2nd floor for low voltage cable.

I would be wary of small animals chewing the cable, out of sight. Conduit sounds a lot better, it’s plastic so easy to fit and cheap to buy.

    cooker hood lamp advice

Hi, The three 20watt 12V G11 lights on our Falcon cooker hood failed recently, first one went out then the other two. The original lamps that came with it are tungsten, I see that two of the 3 lamps look identical but have LED on them, the light coming out of it was identical to the non LED...

poor light quality from Click integrated LED downlight

Integrated LEDs are different from GU10s re light quality, the integrated ones with opal front lens just give an overall light spread, the better quality GU10s give more defined beam angles and a light output very similar to tungsten in my view.

poor light quality from Click integrated LED downlight

I took them back to the electrical factors today and will get Click Flameguard fittings and then probably Megaman or Silvania GU10s, they might not have the same life as integrated LEDs but quality of light is important to most people. Thanks

poor light quality from Click integrated LED downlight

I've just fitted five Click Interceptor Pico downlight in the lounge to replace Click MR16 fittings but the light is very flat compared to tungsten, the angle is far more than the 90º quoted so the light spills everywhere. What are people's views on these integrated LED downlight as I'm thinking...

    4 gang kitchen socket plate

Thanks for all the useful info. When I said drywall I used the term a bit loosely as it's wide boxing around the soil pipe and it's 9mm MDF so I got a couple of normal Ashley plasterboard fixing boxes from Screwfix.

    identifying a shed consumer unit

Just to put some of your minds at rest the CUs are for two sheds, and my usual electrician will fit them when the weather improves. Oh and yes I did ask him if they would be suitable before I purchased them and he confirmed in the affirmative. I hope this post may help someone else.

    Utility room extractor fans

Yes I know it's about a utility room, the regs are different though for extensions and new dwellings. The overrun is for rooms that do not have an opening window, but probably just shower rooms not utility rooms, the key is to either refer to plans which have been signed off by building control...

getting a cable through a conduit

No it has not all been done which is the reason behind the OP, I agree that chambers can get full of water mind you not so if open at the bottom to allow water to soak away and/or there a gravity drain tube. I've been researching while waiting for the sparks to get in contact and a waterproof...
