    Testing Gear - assessment

    do you lads use a voltage tester and proving unit for your assessments or are they ok with using your all in one meter for the voltage during safe isolation? then prove your meter on the live side of the isolator on the tails? cheers:)

    Is there any legislation regarding what test gear can be used for testing. Do the pros have to replace their test kit every now and then or can they use old kit provided its calibrated?

    Asbestos in switch gear

    I am aware that a lot of old switch gear contains asbestos where the old fuse wire carriers are inserted. I am curious as to what is the correct and safe method remove this. Is it necessary to call in an external contractor as i know they can be pretty pricey.
