2.5mm radial - 20amp rcbo with 20amp DP switch with flex outlets
That sound about right?
I need to put some storage heaters in a large room. It's around 50 square meters.
Energy efficiency is my number one priority. What is the leading energy efficient technology when it comes to wall heaters?
Last time I fitted some, infrared was the leading form
I rent out a flat in a small west London block built in 1990s. 2 storage heaters installed around 2005 now have stuck or broken switches so I'm looking for advice about replacement. One has both night and a daytime part, but the other seems to be only wired to the night meter with no other power...

Can anyone put a rough date these storage heaters? Specifically, do they look post-1974?
They’ve been disconnected but I’m
worried I’ll get face full of asbestos when I take them off the wall. They’re a Heatovent RAJ30 & a Creda...
Hello all, I have a question regarding storage heaters. The new types that also need an off peak supply as well as a 24 hour supply. My first question is why do they need two supply's, and secondly can the storage heaters run only on a 24 hour supply since there is no off peak supply installed.
I have a customer who wants to change her existing night storage heaters as they are around 20 years old and she fears they are no longer efficient.
I'd like to get peoples views on if new electric radiators are likely to be more or less costly to run than night storage heaters? I realise this...
Hi everybody
I'll try to put it as simple as possible.
I'm rewiring my two bed flat and want to hard wire all electric oil radiators on one circuit.
There'll be 6 Harmoni Lugo oil rads 1x1540w, 3x1100w, 1x660w, 1x500w: all together 6000 watts.
One electrician told me every radiator must have...

I'm fitting oil-filled panel heating into two rooms of a remote workshop, with (currently) a 20A x three phase supply.
Control, for occasional use only, is needed as follows:
1. A wall-mounted and easily-adjustable mechanical timer to set all the heating to come on an hour or two before people...
Got a question regarding storage heaters and economy 7. Customer wants 7x storage heaters (Elnur Ecombi High Retention) installed in a HMO. Each room has its own 4 way consumer unit per room (basically small studio flats) the only thing is the storage heaters require a 24hour supply and economy...
Would a brand new storage heater would be any more efficient than an older (circa 1970's) model ? I have not looked at any to compare as yet, but as they both heat up concrete blocks cant really see much difference tbh, anyone know ?
Hi all! My current dilemma:
What was three small offices is now one large one. So I have x3 DB's feeding x3 electric heaters on their own timers and built in stats. I need all 3 heaters on a single stat and timer to operate together and be tamper proof.
My thoughts are to stick all 3 on one 25A...
thoughts on this,on drawings, water heaters are on a ring main circuit, dedicated to the heaters, there are 4 of these.
Listening to spark ninja this could prove a problem with the overloading & balancing of this ring.
Why would consultants decide on a ring ,instead, like the good old days,all...
I'm looking for confirmation or otherwise, that the following bits of kit will go together to create a temperature controlled heat source for a curing application via a standard 13a plug fitting.
- 2 x 400W ceramic elements in reflectors (1 fitted with Thermocouple)
- PID temp controller, 1...
