Can anybody point me in the direction to find some free BS downloads, I'm looking for BS 5839 Fire Alarms and BS 5266 Emergency Lighting.
If anybody has these docs I would appreciate them mailing to me.

Folks,
New shed CU, 16A & 6A MCBs with integral 30mA RCD main switch. RCD test at 1x is >400ms tho' 180 degree test ok at 18.6ms. That's a fail though yes? Max measured time being >400 ms.
Just asking....don't get RCD fails often. :confused:

Hi, can I install light switches in my home if the've been bought outside of the UK? They don't have a British Standards mark on them.
The make is bticino, made in italy, CE marked, 16A 250V.
moreover, would these be covered in case of insurance claim, being CE and not BS approved?
