Hello all. I'm new here but after a bit of advice.

Currently in my kitchen, I have a 2 gang 2 way switch near the back door and another 1 near the dining room controlling both controlling 2 seperate lights.

What I want to do is change each switch to 1 gang 2 way so that both lights come on with the same switch but still work 2 way.

Below is a pic of how the wires are in each pattress box. The grey dots are connector blocks. In the dining room side, there is also another connector block join some black neutral wires (not sure why). The kitchen is an extension incase it is done differently to the norm. I've never seen this setup before so it has confused me a bit.

I've wired up garages, lofts, changed lights, moved sockets etc before but this has got me.

Is anyone able to enlighten me on the best way to go about this?

Cheers

Jeff

They are on the same circuit due to the link....
At both switches connect all wires currently in commons to the common on your 1 gangs.Do the same with connections 1 and 2...take out the link wire......
If all those wires are a bit of a squeeze in the terminals you can ditch one of the 3 cores between the switches and blank the wires off with connectors.
