i know about the different wiring arrangements for 2 way light switching. i want to connect the permanent live into first switch common, connect L1's of both switches together, also L2's and connect common of second switch to power the light. But, because ceiling roses dont appear to be available with 5 + Earth terminals, i will have to fit a 6 way terminal box in the loft, which will have 5 wires entering it: T&E loop in, T&E loop out, T&E to rose, 3C+E to first switch, 3C+E to second switch. (No wire between the switches). Is this acceptable?

Yes. Joint boxes are acceptable.

Left accessible if required, or maintenance free if not.

Much easier to only have one t&e at a light in case the pendant is changed to a decorative fitting in future with no space.
