Hi everyone I'm seriously struggling with interpreting the nvq 3 portfolio criteria.

In unit 315 it says I need to install 4 types of wiring (5 photos for each). What 5 photos could I take of its singles in trunking for example?

Also in 315 it says I need 10 different equipment types (3 photos for each). Can someone give me an example of 10 types of equipment and the 3 stages I should take a picture of?

When it gets to unit 316 it asks for terminating 4 types of cable (5 photos for each). Does ti matter what types of cable and can I have an example of 5 steps for each cable type please?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm fully capable at my job but I've never been an academic, I can read well but I'm terrible at interpreting things like this without proper guidance.

Thanks, matt

The multiple photos are to provide the various stages of installation
eg: If one of your cable types is SWA then you could provide photos of you pulling the cable in, stripping, glanding, fixing to wall / containment, support spacing, 2nd fixing etc.

A T&E might be clipped, sleeved, go through a stuffing gland etc.

Singles is probably a bad example but you can show singles correctly labelled on cable runners and you 1st fixing then 2nd fixing

They don't want to just see a finished photo but what process you followed, whether that's supporting, levelling, labelling, sleeving etc.
They also want to make sure it's you doing the task and want to see the stages of installation and not just you taking a photo of something someone else has already done
