Hi guys relatively new to the electrical trade but working as a mate just trying to find out how to wire a 3 gang switch is this correct to have a feed in link out the coms and to have a feed out going to the lights and also having 3 switch lines in total having 5 cables at the switch ?? Or is this wrong any input would be grateful thanks

From reading your question... it sounds as if you need to revise what the purpose of a switch is and how it works. I get the impression that you're trying to wrote learn how to wire something, rather than actually understanding it.

Well the switch I'm doing was a two gang switch that has a feed in feed out and two switch line so in total 4 cables so if I were to do a 3 gang would it be the same way with 5 cables

The feed would be at the switch

The switch I was wiring was a two gangone way so it had feed in from the board feed out and two switch lines with the coms connected. So does the feed out go up to the light aswell as the switch line

Have a read through these pages; Lighting Circuits Introduction - https://www.flameport.com/electric/lighting_circuits/index.cs4

They should help (along with the videos) to aid your understanding.

Get yourself a piece of MDF, a couple of switches , ceiling roses and a drum of T&E and practice practice practice.
