Discuss 4mm ring final circuit in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

A 4mm ring is easy to wire, just use 35mm boxes and if anything you can dress the cables in nicer than with 2.5 because it's stranded and more flexible.
All the 2.5 I have picked up over the last few years has been stranded? but I do tend to use the same wholesaler so should not be surprised.

Your right pc1966 I have not bought 2.5mm T&E for years, poor old duffer getting more forgetful the older I get and staying in am getting more and more bored. ? is the sun over the yard arm yet?

I'd say at least 40a Alan, possibly even 45 ? You'd have to calculate it based on circuit length and insulation etc.
I’m just being lazy Dave, wondering if there was a standard figure that is generally used as per a domestic 2.5 RFC. 4mm RFC would therefore offer quite a bit of resilience in a larger kitchen with more juicier appliances. ?
