Hi all,
After some advice.

i have a run of 50mm 4 core on a farm to reinstate some GP buildings.
100A feed, with fused disconnect at the origin.

in its run it needs to be intersected to feed a small existing 3phase board just for some lightingin a tractor shed.

my thoughts are use a non fused isolator. The only issue im finding is sourcing one I can get x2 50mm cores into the incoming side none I can find (for a decent price) use lug mounted posts.
Other option in my mind is a busbar chamber?
Any help much appreciated!

I know it's a terribly old fashioned idea these days but why not just breech joint it underground and bring a 25mm SWA in to the tractor shed.
That way the 50mm remains an uncut continuous cable through to its final destination and you don't have to try and get a 50mm in to a small DB.

the route the 50mm takes goes through the tractor shed in any case

In what way? Does it come up from underground, travel through the shed then go back underground or is it going under the shed?

If its going to be surface mounted in the shed anyway then I'd either still use a breech joint if possible or install a steel box with bolted terminal blocks in it and take a smaller SWA off to the local DB.
