Rather than continuing on the other thread which was something about dodgy MK fakes....

That’s what I paid for my first car...

White Mk1 Ford Fiesta

I had same Mk1 fiesta, but mine was "Sunshine Red".... or orange, as my gf, now wife, called it.
It cost me double what yours was, so it must have been twice as good.
Even back then it had 16 valves....

….. 5 in the tyres, 11 in the radio!

Mine was a metro van.
Well, to tell the truth it was a mk2 fiesta I stole off my dad at 2am and crashed but that doesn’t count as I was under age :)

My fiesta had a sunroof that had been added by a previous owner.... only leaked on the passenger side, so that was ok...
Came with a radio...(no cassette player) and only one speaker.

The tradesmen used to let us apprentices drive the works transit vans around the big sites when we were just 16.

In the iom legal driving age is 16, we used to be bombing round the roads with no speed limits!

I spose my first set of wheels was a milk float..but that’s another story....mk 3 escort, Ghia I might add, first car, piece of ---- but I loved it!
