Check you have drive enable first or you will be going nowhere.
it looks like a jumper enable is available to do this.

Does the drive have an ethernet port on the front right? If so you can download some free software from rockwell or use programs such as rs logix 5000 or drive explorer. Power flex drives usually have the jumper cable in stalled. You may find also that when you enable certain parameters in the p menu, you may have to alter in the other advanced menus. Last thing what is the application for the drive?

Ive gone into all parameters, well the basic ones. And altered to dc braking, ramp times etc now I've spoke to the software engineer who designed the plc inverter panel, hes coming down its got a lot of advanced parameters which need to be setup, and basically he doesn't no them to tell me over phone its for a bogie drive carriage (same as a crane crab) runs on a track. Cheers

Do you have access to a copy of RS logix 500/5000 dependent on plc used? If so there is a chance of deciphering the settings if the program controls the drive.

This sounds very familiar, won’t tell you at all is more like it. Had the same with a Eurotherm 150HP traction drive, “We’ll have to come and set it up for you.”

Watch them like a hawk, learn what you can from them.

im working with him tuesday tony, got my pad at the ready he said he would show and tell me how to setup them up should it ever blow up again !

i had the guy come down from the hydraulics company he gave a sheet with all parameters required in the inverter... 25 ADVANCED PARAMETERS... so i would have been never sorted it, so now I have that the next time it goes should be easy.. too much of the inverter talking to the PLC, (Software engineers love over complicating things) !

tonys correct
also after its set up you can go online with it and save a copy of the program in your laptop or the pc connected to it
ive found you can never have too many copies of the plc programs

True but if your Vfd is in a panel is using a panel view program you are remotely connected to the vfd.
you have access to the parameters file and can. save it to usb stick
