asking advice:
I had the AM2 assessment today and there’s a couple of things I wanted to check with someone that may have done this recently.
the lighting circuit clearly states in the wiring diagram in the NET book to use 6424/3y for all cable runs including from dB to first 2way switch and between 2nd 2way switch to the light fitting.
I questioned this straight away but the assessor could only shrug his shoulders. Why would they want 3core and earth from dB to light switch and light switch to light fitting.
is this a trick to try and catch usout. If I ignore it and install 6424/2y I’ve not followed the specification properly if I install 6424/3y I’ve got to sleeve the unused core and terminate to earth (is that the point) I’m not sure what to do.
also on the D.O.L overload settings they now provide a table rather than calculating the overload setting yourself. My table says for my motor that I need 1.5A setting but my overload setting only goes to 1.2A do I just set it to max.. or is this something I need to make a note off so I don’t get marked down for it.
Thanks for any help you might offer

Funny thing after writing this out I realised that 6242/3y is actually referring to both 2core+Cpc and 3core+cpc luckily I’ve still got 2.5hours left on the installation section so I will switch those 3c+cpc out for 2c
still confused on the motor though.
Worked out the load setting on a calculator
550
(400 x 1.732 x 0.75 x 0.69)
= 1.53A but overload only goes up to 1.2A
