Anybody finding it difficult to fill maintenance engineering vacancies?

Took me nearly 2 months to fill a vacancy for a multiskilled engineer, engineer starting beginning March, but now have to start again advertising as had to let some one else go due to low attendance.

I'm willing to move to UK as a Facility/Site Manager Maintenance

We have taken eight months to replace retiring engineer.

We are now starting again as we have two more retiring by june.

We have ok shift pattern and fair wages.

Lots of applications but very few actually ok with being able to do the job.

Even had one guy get offered the job but when asked for passport to prove eligibility to work in this country he gave fake pass port.

This is a problem which is only going to get worse
