About 10 tears ago I fitted two additional driving lights to my 2004 R1200gs motorbike powered via an Autoswitch (AS6B) using the indicator cancel to trigger the relay. For years they worked fine but have recently started cutting out. The pattern is a little odd, with the ignition on but engine not running they appear to stay on indefinitely, or as long as I can wait, but with the engine running they will turn off after anything from 10 minutes to less than a minute.
So far I have checked all my wiring connections which appear to be sound, I have replaced the relay but with no improvement. The auto switch black box is fixed via a sticky pad to the air box and the relay screwed to the frame.
As the lights only cut out when the engine is running my first thoughts were a poor connection made worse by vibration but my connections all seem sound.
Does anyone have any similar experience or any ideas where to look next.
I have, by the way, limited electronics knowledge so please don't be afraid of talking in the most simple of terms.
Thanks.
I am attaching a diagram of the wring
