Didn't like them much to start with but falling in love with them lolIt's wagoscience, Stephen. Nice one,
They're like Roses......they grow on you.Didn't like them much to start with but falling in love with them lol
Nice one, was thinking I could place some plug sockets in the attic and maybe have some plug and play cctv plugs as it will be easier to wire them in all 4 corners of the house from outside also realised that yes its not a 10mm cable, even though it just so happens to measure 10mm across lol. I think alot of ppl think I'm going to dive into the C/U and just have s DIY go at this. I'm not lol. I just need to know wat is wat in my house so I know what to spot and understand what I have, or need, or need to get repaired by a sparky. Also I've just found a 6mm cable that was from the old shower in the attic so happy days. Let's hope it don't need changing for a 10mmI'd bet that's the old 'water heater' supply. Your immersion heater feed for the hot water tank you may not have anymore. Perfect if you need a 16a feed to something in your airing cupboard, I'd even repurpose that for a dedicated gaming PC supply, or run your lights and model trains in your loft off of it.
It is not a shower cable
10mm² is the area of the live conductor looked at end on, the cross sectional area when you strip off the secondary and primary insulation. Imagine a square, it would be 3.2mm x 3.2mm of copper. The individual brown and blue conductors are almost the size of pencils.Nice one, was thinking I could place some plug sockets in the attic and maybe have some plug and play cctv plugs as it will be easier to wire them in all 4 corners of the house from outside also realised that yes its not a 10mm cable, even though it just so happens to measure 10mm across lol. Lol I was just thinking would it be worth having a crappy lower power shower lol but no.10mm² is the area of the live conductor looked at end on, the cross sectional area when you strip off the secondary and primary insulation. That 6mm cable is only useful if it's 1 - electrically sound, 2 - actually appears in your CU, 3- You can add it as a new circuit to the existing CU with matching breakers 4 - Get your new circuit tested and signed off by building control or a CPS member 5 - Have a crappy shower less than 7.2kw
