Hello All, sorry to hijack the post. Can anyone recommend a battery jigsaw. I was looking at festool or the Milwaukee, I was wondering what people were using.

I have a the festool battery jigsaw, body style not d handle.
its performance is the same as the 240v
It only came with one 18v battery
but I got it cheap due to an online disaster on the toolshops part )
had it out this weekend on my bairns summer house project
nice bit of tackle

I have never been a DeWalt fan, personally. But either Makita or Milwaukee have my vote in the 18v li-ion range. Both with 3 year warranties when we register them, (if we remember to). There`s a few more perks to the Makita i have found over the Milwaukee which is mainly the cost. I think on average the naked tools are approximately £50 cheaper than the Milwaukee's. Aone Tools in west yorkshire is the best price i have found more Makita, on both kits and naked tools.

Makkita body only are cheaper as that is the way they get u involved in there brand, but then the catch is you have to buy makita batteries at a round £60-70 , where as i can always get two lithium RED milwaukee for £100, and they are a better battery than the makita as my garage is a graveyard for makita batteries,

I buy Makita (and get on very nicely with it bu crave Hilti (the stuff I've borrowed or had on rental is ruddy brilliant but I can't afford it)
