Hi,

ignore the price of it, has anyone on here got one?

BOSCH D-TECT150 Digital Wall Scanner: Amazon.co.uk: DIY & Tools

you can get it for under £400.

anyway, I was hanging a TV in a wall the other week, one of those metal frame stud wall things, anyway, customer says here use this, a wall scanner to find the metal verticals to fix in to... Ok I say but I don't trust them one bit.

it suggests there are two verticals approx 400mm apart which I thought ok, maybe it's true, when I dug a hole in the wall to put the dry line boxes in, there were none insight, I even did it again directly below where I had just cut a 2 gang dry line box in and if said it was there.

i said to the bloke, I said I didn't trust them.

anywag, if you spend £400 notes on one, are they better?

got the older model and found it useless,, maybe not used properly maybe not.
currently just using a very very strong magnet, value for money.
