Discuss BS number????? in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

I need the BS number to put on the EICR - if I cant find it - what can I put on the EICR where it asks the BS number for the main switch?

I don't recognise that particular switch or it's manufacturer. If it's a recent European model, it could be either BS EN 60943-3, or more likely BS EN 60669-2-4. If it's from an earlier vintage BS 3676, BS 4752, BS 5419 or BS 5486 are all possibilities. I have a nagging doubt in my mind that it's more typical of a US NEMA standard type.
I think E54 or Tony may be best able to identify the manufacturer and/or the specification.

That switch is bolted to an A/C condenser.
That could easily make it U.S or Japanese if it was supplied with the unit.

I'd guess more towards U.S.

That is most definitely an American Switch Fuse and will have a UL number rather than a UK BS number, as will the fuses contained in this unit, which will be long and thin. NEMA numbers are as far as i remember, similar to your IP ratings regarding the enclosure type...

So i'm not sure what you will write on your cert?? Perhaps the UL number and an explanation in the remarks section.
