Just done this and to be honest I'm underwhelmed.

Exam is a 60% pass mark, open book, multiple choice.

40 questions, you get an hour.

It cannot be possible to fail this surely?

I Know you can fail the practice but in reality that's only going to be through failure to safely isolate.

Anyway, did the exam in 17mins and got 87% without referring to the book once.

Now I'm no @LucienNunes, by any stretch so how low is this bar set?

Sounds as simple as an ECS/CSCS "exam".

How should you check a cable isn't live?
A. Touch it with your nose.
B. Lick it.
C. Flip a coin.
D. Use the proper testing equipment.

Ermmmmmmm.......
Some of those questions/answers in the cscs exams are downright insulting. On the other side of the argument, anyone failing that exam shouldn't be anywhere near a building site. However, most people can pass with ease with a little swatting up the evening before, I detest the idea of having to go through the whole thing every four years to prove what?
Edit: I suppose what I'm getting at (maybe a little big headed) but electricians that have had to do their C&G or NVQ's and regularly have to update to new editions - should it really be necessary to do a cscs as well? Both exams are just not comparable.
