Cert says rewire of property

Hi All

m8 just bought a new house (not brand new) electrical certificate & new consumer unit for the property, certificate actually says full rewire he asked me about adding extra sockets & doing some kitchen works by my company.
asked him to send over a picture of the consumer unit & test results so I could have a quick peak at readings & then say we could look at extending or altering the rings lights ect as it has had a rewire. quick look at the test results for the property & I said can you send me a picture of the inside of the board & see attached picture!
it does say 2010 & it has a renewal date of 10 years & on test sheet how much work is covered ALL.

just on with the new owner now, going in for a periodic inspection report & then a new consumer unit, as mentioned when I undo that pile of sh.t I may as well start again with new board & slightly bigger board to fit in circuits properly & a little extra room for a later date.

The +2 IR for everything doesn't give much confidence for what it's like 7 years on, I'm afraid. Is there a 6A circuit next to main sw that's been kept out of the RCD? Hmmm

well when I have completed the testing of this little beauty I will post up the results, just so can compare the results against each other, obviously some things could have occurred over 7 years but in the whole should get like for like results if it was tested properly, we shall see.
got the job this morning have not even been to the job yet owner has agreed to test & change of consumer unit already.

Has that 3rd breaker on the 1st RCD got 3 x 2.5 and 1 x 1.5 conductors? Like you say, he definitely needs a bigger board, else it's just been wired badly.

Could be, but unlikely, looks like there's one not on the cert on the left hand RCD.
Crap distribution of circuits. ALL of the socket circuits are on one RCD.

MAybe it doesnt need RCD protection. All cables being surface?
That one is marked as 'doorbell'. There's two wires in the MCB, maybe it also feeds outside lights and he kept it off the RCD to prevent possibility of tripping (probably the only sensible thing in that CU)..

I saw that too and was wondering what the heck was going on... also according to the certificate the first mcb is for the doorbell, why two lives??
Whoever installed the CU should have ordered the correct size with the correct number of ways and mcbs to begin with rather than squeezing it all in a smaller one.

also unless i am mistaken there are 4 32amp mcbs on the CU yet only 3 accounted for on the test results sheet!? must have skipped one of them during testing i guess...

Yes Gavin, I reckon someone was messing with his horse outside, hitched up tp the front gate ready for a quick getaway.
