Hi i need some advice on how to wire my codice 542794 stats to my boiler
i have a buffer tank and like to put a stat top and bottom of cylinder ,i have a connection from my boiler for a thermostat with a switch live and perm live and neutral
i need to no were they go in the stat inside stat got com and a 1 and connection 2
thanks peter

There is a diagram on the plastic cover. Shouldnt the hot water thermostat be wired in to your speedfit wiring centre? The thermostat you have is a high limit in series with a temperature control thermostat.

The stat you mentioned is a combined stat and high limit cutout for an unvented cylinder. Can we assume that you have an unvented cylinder?
If so then you must not wire it directly to the boiler, it must be connected via a valve which provides a fail-safe positive shutoff or another interlock arrangement which cuts off the source of heat if the high limit stat operates.

What do you want a stat at the top and bottom of the cylinder for?

Yes but i have been think to much ,i was reading and thinking if i separate the boiler control from the jg wiring centre so the boiler will just fire up when the stat calls from the buffer tank.this way im using the buffer tank more economically, sorry be boring but the ufh and dhw will use the stored water as its heat source then when the stored water drops as the water passes through the stat calls the boiler to fire up.at the moment seem to be warming buffer for nothing

Yes unvented buffer ,I got a lladdomat pump that takes the overrun that wires direct to boiler via pump connection on the boiler, then the second coonector is marked for stat, the two stats was to balance the temperture top to bottom ( read this on a green forum ) but one will do. Windhager technical said im correct with the stat to the cylinder but wont commit on the wiring to my stat

Get your continuity tester, put one probe on common, turn the stat all the way up and see what terminal you get continuity on with the other probe, then turn the thermostat all the way down and you shouldn't have any continuity. One terminal is NO the other is NC.

he wants to boil his frogs' legs but doesn't like them well done.

Aha, so this isn't a standard dhw cylinder then? It sounds like it's operating more like the old gledhill boilermate (heap of junk) thermal store system.

Dare I ask why you wouldn't go for a standard arrangement.
