Hello,

I have ended up with 3 identical lamp stands (long story), each with one E27 bulb holder. What I would like to do is put all 3 bulb holders onto one stand and wire them together so that they are controlled by the one power switch. But I have very little electrical knowledge so have two questions:

- Is it possible to wire the three together in this way (I'm not sure how to describe what I am imaginging, but maybe daisychained, or in series?)?

- I looked at the holders and I can't work out how to get the plastic bulb fitting out of the metal bulb casing. I've atteched some pics of that assembly, does anyone know how I would do that?

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Thank you

They might unscrew, there are some suspicious looking holes either side of the actual bulb holder that might be intended for use with a special two-prong tool. But I would have to agree it is probably not worth the trouble, you could end up severely injuring a hand attempting to improvise the opening process.

If the current flex is good then you could join them together (parallel, so all L together and off to the switch/plug, and all N together and off to the plug) in a small junction box but that is unlikely to look very elegant.

Personally I would suggest a trip to IKEA or similar for a new light!
