Hi all,

I'm looking to pass my final exams on units 202 & 203 from my C&G 2365 course end of this month and therefore complete Level 2. Next thing is to get out there and start working and getting experience. I was told it's best to go to an agency who are looking for improvers to work on sites but to do that I'd need to apply for ECS Card.

Is there anyone here who been through this process and could explain? What card type do you apply for after finishing Level 2? Apprentice/Trainee Electrician or Work Experience? Do I also apply for JIB Card or is it one the same thing? I want to get into industry asap, learning towards NVQ and start earning money obviously starting from the bottom.

Cheers,

Kuba

Yes, I recently passed my test. The exam was ok but you have to revise for it. Especially if you Are new to the construction industry. You get asked questions such as what animal can you catch weil’s Disease from ?

Such questions will throw you off if you do not revise. Also here in wales they only put the courses on once a month, so make sure you get it sorted before September should you be starting level 3.

Also, only go through the jib authorised training providers to book the course. there are alot of 3rd providers who put a drink on top of the fees, for no extra gain to the trainee.

All in all good luck

Jay
