CV Advice

Quick question for those who get to read CV's:
I retrained via 2330 about 5 years ago. Therefore have a good 15 years previous career work history behind me. I'm going to be updating it shortly, but as my previous history makes it nearly 4 pages long, should I remove this from the information or at best place maybe a couple of jobs on it but try to focus on the Electrical Experience which doesn't amount to much more than 1x employed and 2 years of sub contract for the same guys.

keep your CV short , nobody wants to read war & peace
personally i dont think theres any need to go back more than 10 years in your employment history so keep details pre-electrical career brief and give more writitng space to skills & experiences relevent to the electrical side.
Even with just 1 employed / 2 years subby exp. you should still have good points to highlight.

Agree. If you are applying for electrical jobs, then you should use your 'electrical' CV. I am in the same position, retrained after a brief career in teaching. I cover this in a few sentences detailing the reasons behind the career change before getting down to the nitty gritty of what i have done, and can do, electrically.

I agree with the above. Competition for jobs is very tight these days.
You've got to get their attention with your main attributes in the first few sentences, nobody will read past that on the first pass.
