Disabling a setting on a Belling cooker hood.

I am going to install a log burner in an open plan kitchen breakfast room. I think the Belling cooker hood, on it's highest setting, is extracting too much air. Setting 1 and 2 seem to be ok. To satisfy my burner fitter, is it possible to disable setting 3 on the hood. If so, how is it done. Thanks.

You will need to look at the switch and motor.
The chances are it will have 4 wires, one for the Neutral and 3 for the various speeds.

Cutting the wire from the highest speed setting on the switch, and insulating the end(s), would do it.
You would need to isolate the power and get access to the switch/PCB inside. There aren't universal colours for the motor wires, and you'll likely need a multimeter to establish which is the full-speed connection on the switch/pcb.
