Afternoon all..

Just lazily working through a quote on this wet and cold Sunday.

I'm trying to get Type A RCD protection for my new work. At present it has Type AC RCD.

My question is, does this Type A Legrand RCD (see link) fit in this CU as a direct replacement for the existing RCD (see picture)? They do look pretty identical! Just want to be sure though.

I think Legrand give dimension and application/fit on their web site, certainly in the catalogue.

Other than mentioning their domestic range of Rx3 breakers are compatible with both prong and fork type busbars, I can find no reference to backward compatibiltiy in their current catalogue.

I think you have to go onto the web-site and look for compatibly charts.

I suspect you will have to ask Legrand directly.

Incidentally, why two circuits labelled garage? The 40A MCB might be a SWA feed, but the other? A previous T&E feed?

There are 2 garages 😊

Really I think you would need to consult with their technical department. Only really they can answer this definitively.
