Discuss Does this need replacing in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

The head needs replacing or repairing.
Not because it is vintage but because the neutral terminals are exposed.
 
The main body of the cutout is broken away above where the Neutral cover would be, probably because it's been hit with something, so a new cover wouldn't stay on if the DNO have them as spares.

There's nothing wrong with the meters as long as the Energy Supplier is happy with them.

The cast iron cover leaning up below the meters probably has an asbestos seal in it.
