Hi guys I was at a job 2nite to fix a door entry system for a block of flats, I can't remember the brand off the top of my head but it looked quite a dated system, the push put tons were all buzzing the wrong flats and none of the audio or lock were working so I got that sorted with a bit of investigation, only problem that still their is u can always hear what's happening on the street when you pick up the phone no1 has to press buzzer 1st, any1 know a quick solution for this to save me looking in the wrong places,

thanks in advance as always guys

I've had this before and it turned out the call pad on the door was shot, how much time have you got on this?
Might be the same problem but obviously it's hard to say

Was at it for a few hrs 2nite but it was getting too late so after we got all the major work done we called it a night, don't even know if they want us back out or if there happy just to leave it, I was thinking there may be something wrong with the door panel or a link or something that shouldn't be connected

Most traditional door entry systems work like this. The speech is not private. Picking up any handset opens the audio path. Cabling is 4+n (where n is the number of flats)

Always happy to help

Steve
