Hi Guys & Gals,

So I have my renewal assessment coming up soon and Im having trouble getting someone to let me use a job I did for them, for my asesment.
Now I have a workshop/shed to run power to and fit a 2 way cu.
My question is:

Will this be good enough for my renewal?

I will be running a new supply in SWA from the house CU, its a dual rcd board.
I will be installing a new metal clad 2 way CU, with 100A iso, a 16A for radial skts and 6A for lighting.
I will be installing 2 x double skts on a radial and a 5' flourescent light & switch.
All will be surface mount, except the SWA, this will be buried.

So what do you guys think? Will it be enough?

Cheers

Jay

Of course it will. You're in now, they just want the money. The first assessment is theoretically the harder one but still to hear of anyone not being eased of their sovereigns.

Think I might just give it a miss from now on & concentrate on minor works ... i think the end is nigh forbthe schemes anyway

Make sure you tell them beforehand if it's your place you are doing the assessment on.

My Elecsa experience is that they will allow you to use your place once! I needed to do it because my client let me down at the last minute and said 'no' to the visit.

I wish I had the balls to give the schemes a wide berth. I think I only had 10 jobs all year that needed notifying.

so of these 10 jobs, what would happen if you did not notify them? absolutely bugger all. unless there was a problem.

I totaly agree but there was at least a couple of the customers that new about part p and notifying work. I would of probably lost out on about £300/400 worth of work, so it kind of paid for itself but I may go all this year and not get asked at all about it, then I would be peed off.
