Hi guys I've had a call from my boss wanting me to go on a 3 day electrical duty holders course in Birmingham. Apparently there is a senior and junior, he being the senior and me the junior.

Would anyone be able to spread any light on this course? The responsibilities I would have after the course? Difficulty level? I've never heard of it before so any info would be great

thanks in advance

Lol that's what I was thinking, don't want to be dumped on the course to be used as an escape goat for anything in the future

I would assume, but I am not sure as there are multiple definitions of "duty holder", that this is referring to the duty holder's responsibilities under the Electricity at Work Regulations (a guidance note is found here) and is mainly managing the risks and hazards that present from working with electrical installations.
Something like this course (though specific course content will vary widely), it should not be too onerous but requires an understanding of the application of the regulations.
Effectively it is training on what you should already be doing, although unless you have a team under you your capability to affect things is fairly low.
