Went a priced a job yesterday for emergency lighting in a harsh warehouse environment (used for taking apart cars for scrap).
I wanted to put in some emg floods as it's dark in there even in day time and they used some serious cutting equipment.
Got there and the guy said NO he only wanted 1 exit sign about the fire exit nothing else and wasn't going to pay for anything extra.
So I thought OK made a note of it on job system to cover backside and proceeded to quote for 1 emergency exit bulk head wired in singles in steel conduit (using 2 x 3.75mt lengths with two simple bends).
Did the price gave it to the "security director" who was going to see them today with his quotes.
Just got a call from him..... "Customer says it's too expensive, so I've told him it'll be half what you quoted. You can tie wrap your cables next to ours on the cable tray already there for the alarms"
I did check with him there was enough space between the cables, which he said there was (that probably means not!).
I looking for other views.... To be fair it is 2mtrs+ above a door so not likely to get damaged, but it just seems wrong... or is that just me set in my ways?
