Anyone ever come across this before - was in the bathroom last night and the ES bulb suddenly went off completely , no flickering, and 2 seconds later it came on instantly. The wife said it has happened to her 3 or 4 times. At the same time other ordinary bulbs on the same circuit were unaffected. Haven't even bothered to substitute the bulb for another yet, just wondering if people have experienced anything similar? (circuit is on old fashioned BS 3036)

I've had something very similar.

I've had the odd Phillips bulb which has taken up to 20 secs to start to light up when switched on, where the other bulbs in the fitting have lit up instantly. It turned out to be a dodgy bulb.

Cheers
Steve
