currently 70mm need to open up to 160mmWhat diameter is the current hole and how much do you need to enlarge it?
they dont make a holesaw to size i needThe best way is to double up a hole saw, say 32 to 35 on the arbour.
Yes they do.they dont make a holesaw to size i need
ok , i will rephrase that last comment , i cant seem to find 1 that size.Yes they do.
There will be 6 holes to enlarge and only have an available depth of 40mm , so wouldnt be too keen on using jigsawat that size, what's wrong with a jigsaw for a one-off?
And not as much as I'd thought it would be, either. In fact, I'll buy one and I'll rent it to @wsoppitt for let's say £10 per hole?but you are sorted now as @buzzlightyear has shown you where to get a 160mm holesaw.
yes , but still be interested to know how to sort it if 1 wasn't available for future referencebut you are sorted now as @buzzlightyear has shown you where to get a 160mm holesaw.
At the end of the day there aren't that many ways of making a circular cut in a panel of metal. A hole saw or punch is where my mind starts. A jig saw is probably the next most practical. A gas axe is probably over the top! An angle grinder and lots of filing is possible but will be messy. Using smaller hole saws many times and some filing is also possible.yes , but still be interested to know how to sort it if 1 wasn't available for future reference
thanks for the response , tried looking for a fine toothed narrow blade for multitool , but cant seem to find anything suitable. At the end of the day there aren't that many ways of making a circular cut in a panel of metal. I'm not sure there's a right answer to your question or that I'm helping much!
There are metal blades for multi-tools and I missed that off the list. In my opinion it would be quite hard to multitool a large circle as the material will be vibrating like mad and you'd have no easy way to counter this.thanks for the response , tried looking for a fine toothed narrow blade for multitool , but cant seem to find anything suitable.
