Pictures show the 2 ends of a cable supplying a horse treadmill - panel and 32A plug.

Been working fine for 18 months, but the MCB tripped out recently, Probably because of the proximity of bare wires in the plug - although there was no charring marks found.

Story is that the guy who installed this never installed a single phase version before. I assume for 3 phase versions he used to use 4 core 1.5mm SWA for the 7kW load, because thats what he used for the single phase version here!

Not impressed with his colour coding as well!

This is an old practiced method and increases the temperature rating of the cable as insulation is discarded in favour of air gaps... quite common in the DIY sector.
