got a call from the boss yesterday bout 1.00,just relaxing having a break, he phones,a fault at a hotel, can u sort it.So drove for 90 mins & arrived at a big hotel, greeted by a panic manager, car park lights keep tripping a 20 mcb. This was about 3.30pm,a wedding was taking place & a wedding & marquee taking place on Saturday. Its raining & trying to find the fault,u have never seen such botched terminations ever,2.5mm 3 core swa cable,no continuity on earth sheath,no enclosure for connections.obviously damp penetrating in connections.some were even just taped & twisted,& impossible to get acess to,& came apart when pulled to get at connections. There were over 50 lights,so every time I tried to put right.the situation got worse.Managed to get half of the lights back on,fingers crossed, quite a big job to sort it all out on Monday.Options any ideas.mainly on swa continuity which wud mean digging up ,finding swa,&jointing sorry for long post cheers

Sounds like slow process , 50 lights on 1 circuit . Probably ballast somewhere .
Dis connect and get going on Monday
