faceplate adapter 3 to 1 step down

Hi all,

Newbie here. I have moved into a house where there was a 3 gang dimmer switch controlling 3 parts of one room. was a bit excessive and I want to combine them all into one, having converted them from halogen to LED downlighters. Now the faceplate is double size and the smart dimmer I want to use is a single gang one so 1 square. I have found step down adapters for us type wall switches e.g. Garvin GBSD-3250 3 Gang To 2 Gang Step Down Device Ring, 1/2 - https://www.lightingsupply.com/garvin-gbsd-3250.aspx but none for UK electrical boxes. so is there such a thing? if so, any idea where to find one?

Faceplates like this exist:

1 Gang Dimmer Plate Kit (Twin Plate) - White | Varilight (WQD1W)

You can get them in decorative finishes as well.

Nursecall Intercall AD1 Adapter Plate

AD1 from the Nursecall Intercall range of products is an Adaptor Plate which converts a single gang plate to fit a double gang box. It has a white metal coating.

Ordered it and as you say, expensive with the postage and packaging but a perfect fit. This is such a niche product but I suspect more people would need this as dimmers get smaller

or just use the click range of modular switches, oops too late

Wish I’d seen this post earlier.
Last week I dropped a 4 gang standard switch to 2 gang because customer wanted rid of wall lights.
They were happy to leave the 4 gang with 2 unused switches for now.
