I have a Cubigel GD30fc compressor fridge which is a BD35 Danfoss with different connections on the control box, It only runs if I link out the thermostat, the compressor gets hot but there is no cooling, the fault code LED just shows a continuous light.

I'm out of ideas. Is there any check I can do for loss of gas ?

There's no definitive test you can do to know if it's short of gas without putting guages on the system. Gas leak and internal blockage problems can show similar external symptoms. You can visually check for oil marks or stains because wherever there's a gas leak there will be some oil also leaked. Sometimes you can see an oil stain at the point where there's a gas leak but sometimes it's not that obvious either. If it has a very slow leak over time there might be a damp looking dirt patch at the site of the leak where dust and debris has stuck to the oil.

In addition, just because the compressor is running doesn't mean it's compressing. Could be a faulty reed for example.

So you are probably best to get a refrigeration specialist in, who will have all the gear, and the knowledge, to be able to diagnose/repair it.
