My wife has an old Singer sewing machine, model number 327K that has now run into problems.
The problem is that as soon as you plug it in it starts to run without using the foot pedal.
I have read some articles on the internet where they say that the problem has been solved by simply removing the capacitor. Is that the capacitor that is joined across the cables?
