I don't know if other people are having the same issue with stock as I am, but I do stick to local businesses and they are struggling to keep up with demand during this covid nonsense.
So from time to time I will have to go to a bigger manufacturer.
Because I shop local its what my local wholesaler can get hold of. I currently use chint (when available) which I find ok but the stickers suck... but have recently had to use Europa and Cudis cpn neither of which I like to be honest...

So my question to you guys is do you have a particular brand that you always fit and never come away from if at all possible and why?? I like knockouts that you can actually knockout and not drill, decent stickers selection and 1 thing I like about the chint is the big knockout at the back... makes it much easier to fit in certain situations.

Hager... Schneider... any specific models etc??

Fusebox (there are at least a couple of recent threads on here about them).
At the moment, I find sometimes you have to stockpile more consumer units than toilet rolls.

Absolutely loads of consumer units for sale on eBay

(if you dint mind using quality seconds)

i use BG as standard. never any problems, love their compact RCBOs. one thing about chint is the rigid internal tails, much neater than the floppy ones on most boards, but limited on the configuration, hager are pants since going onto metal boards. tried a GED one once ( main contractor supplied). bloody awful. had to re-position the din rail to get the MCBs in line. and as for proteus, complete crap.

Ever since I discovered that their Type A compact RCBOs switch the neutral as well as the phase (I decided to check for some reason - not that I had any reason to assume that they would switch both poles) I have used them a fair bit. Handy for EVSE jobs.

I have to say I'm very impressed by the quality. Their DIN rail blanks are really, really good too.

Have got them from Mercers in Belfast. They don't stock them but can get them handy enough.

Fusebox when available (stock levels of their smaller 8&10 ways always get exhausted quickly )Contactum as a 2nd choice.
None of my local wholesalers stock Fusebox so I’m reliant on online sellers and the vagaries of whatever carrier they use.
