Going to be wiring and installing some fence lighting, there’s no way of hiding the cable was going to run it under the top rail and clip it. Wondering if anyone’s done this before and got any tips? Want it as tidy as possible

Tbh I’ve not looked at specific lights as of yet! Fence is pretty solid. If not going on fence could possibly dig a trench and do it that wayAre the lights selv? And how fixed is the fence? I'm not a fan of fixing anything to a fence tbh but if pushed I would definitely go low voltage!
Was thinking armoured cable out to wiska box. From there possibly nyy-j cable along fence! Trying to hide cable as much as a can but it’s hard on a fence lol!If you don't need to bury it then Flexishield (my favourite) or NYY-J cable stays reasonably well in place with a moderate number of clips, and is fairly easy to terminate with IP68 plastic glands on Wiska boxes or similar.
Yeah that is an option, there’s a small gap behind the post would enable me to get the cable up behind itCould you run along low level or in a trench as @pc1966 suggests go into an adaptable box and up next to a post with the cable to keep it reasonably hidden? At least if the worst did happen there is less chance of damage or destruction of the cable
not sure. until i hear otherwise, think i'll sit on the fence on this ( or is there a reg' prohibiting that?)Didn't there used to be a regulation specifically banning the fixing of wiring to a fence?
No, but you might get in to piles of trouble.not sure. until i hear otherwise, think i'll sit on the fence on this ( or is there a reg' prohibiting that?)
