Was in YESSS this morning and noticed they had drums and drums of PINK sleeving. 4mm, same as their brown, blue and g/y.

I thought maybe someone had ordered the wrong colour into stock, but the lad said it was right.

Is it used on DC cables from PV to identify pos and neg??

Positive would be red.

I thought Pink superseded Cream for functional earthing?

Maybe old red sleeving left in the sun too long?

I really don’t know.

Right… ok. Something I did miss when I did my AMD2.

Pink sleeve for functional earths, going to sell like hot cakes.

Apart from Green/yellow, has anyone ever used up a 100m coil of this stuff?

If you were second fixing a whole development of new houses… you might get through a brown…. But at half an inch a go, it might take a while

I’ve got a (now clump of..) blue that must be at least 20 years old!

I've not got much red but I have a lot of black I still occasionally use.

Plenty of red, but no black at all. On the rare occasions I need some, I use a bit of heatshrink instead.

The DC colours changed at the same time as the AC colours.
They are now Brown for +ve and Grey for -ve unless a pole is connected to earth when it should be Blue.
So a 12v -ve earthed system would be brown for +ve and Blue for -ve
or a 48v +ve earthed system would be Blue for +ve and Grey for -ve

No. Plus, anyone got any creative ideas for blue sleeving that's too small for even 1mm cores. The local CEF had a load in and confused "1mm" with "fits 1mm".

I think it's changed back to red & black in the latest update. I was a bit surprised when I saw it.

Pink rcbos? The leads are described as functional earths
