Hi There,
I've been a spark for 12 years and I'm moving into the realm of food by doing up a grub trailer. I've largely been domestic and wrapped up in wool! So I'm having a but of a hard time wondering how I connect the earthing system to my trailer via a generator. I've heard phrases like "floating Earths" and the like so im looking for some clarity spelled out in dummy terms if anyone fancies having a go!
A bit of spec! -
Petrol Genny feeding a 16a socket on the external wall of the trailer which links to a DB inside the trailer with 30ma RCD and 2x MCB with a 4mm Earth to the chassis. The chances are that I wont be able to knock in an earth rod where I'm selling my foods, so where the heck am i gonna get my safety devices to trip in case of a fault? How are the earths connected at the points of the DB and the Genny? I've never used a system with no direct connection to Earth so its TERRIFYING ME.
Any Takers?
Thank you in advance!
