Hi erm any ideas noises from the meter only when the electric shower is running

Where is the shower getting its power from? As far as I can see, all the breakers in that CU are in the 'off' position. Only the main switch appears to be 'on'.

The writing on the mcbs is upside down.

There are some worrying things about this installation - all the MCBs are fitted upside down, and there is no sign of any RCD protection for any circuit.

Look at the name-test, and compare to the main switch!

They are I didn’t notice this before, any idea what the noise is? and what’s causing it?

I had an old style metre with the spinning wheel that made a loud squeak. Reported on line to my DNO, SSE saying I was scared it might catch fire or explode. They came out and replaced very quickly. Obviously there are some key words to hit for a prompt response. Get it checked by your DNO.

Are you sure the noise is coming from the meter? Can't hear it very well on the clip, but it sounds like a shower pump on the other side of the wall.

'Connection seems hot' and 'wisps of smoke' also work well in my experience.

Yes it’s coming from the meter only make the noise when the shower is running and that’s upstairs at the back off the house

sure it’s not the shower pump as you couldn’t hear it in the garage from where the shower is at the rear off the house but your welcome to call in if your passing and I’m more Staffordshire burntwood

Shower pump doesn't have to be anywhere near the shower. About nine metres apart in the house I was in ten minutes ago.

How do you know if you're in the shower?

As well as the MCBs being installed upside down (who would do that?) There is also single insulated wires visible above the enclosure.

I would definitely recommend having the wiring inspected and tested throughout!

If its not a pump it could be a loose connection arcing. What rating is the shower? The impulse LED is flashing quite fast!

I was going to get onto that later. It's only a 32A MCB.
