Help with Wago connectors

Got to admit never had the need to use them in the past so am not in the know. However ive got a kitchen rewire to start at the end of the week where the cooker circuit ( 6mm2 ) and two legs of the ring ( 2.5mm2 ) need extending. Pulling in new legs isnt really an option as the house is immaculate and both the customer and myself are reluctnant to start ripping it apart. So im stuck as to what other way i can do the work without the use of junction boxes, maintenance free ones that is. Is there a one size fits all when it comes to these wago connectors or do they come in different sizes 1-1.5mm2, 2.5mm2, 4mm-6mm2 etc. Any help/advice most welcome

There is a bigger size specifically for 6mm2 cable, which I think only comes in a 3-way. All the others are for smaller cables. Look online, they are easy to find.

There is a push- fit wago which accepts 6mm, the ones I have used are red, with 3 ports. There are other makes available too!

There are two sizes of enclosure. The standard Wagobox and the Wagobox light for use with downlights generally.

You'll want the standard size. Why not take a look at Wago's website and/or videos on youtube etc.

Would i need a seperate sized terminal for the cpc within the twin and earth?

The 41A three port Wago 773-173 can take conductors from 2.5mm² to 6mm² so for a 6mm² twin and earth cable you could use the same design of connector for the cpc and the live conductors, however you could use a smaller one for the cpc if you wanted.
The connectors must be installed in a maintenance free junction box that is marked MF and designed for those connectors, in order to maintain the maintenance free connection.
The smaller wago connectors tend to be rated 24A and take 0.75mm² to 2.5mm² cores, the ideal connectors can take 0.75mm² to 4mm² solid core and be rated at 32A or only up to 2.5mm² solid core and take 24A.
There are also the Hellerman Titan Helacon ones that are generally similar to Wago but have (had) greater variety, but seem less well advertised or available.
