Hi - Relocation to North West

Hello Everyone,

Currently working in the south east but looking to relocate to the north west for family reasons (Chester).

What's the state of play like up there?

Am am I going to find it hard to get work or is it on the up like down south?

The North East (as in North of the Yorkshire ) is definitely not on the up.

You'll be ok for work there mate, you have Manchester, Liverpool on your doorstep. Things are ok up here.

there's work here, ellesmere port ( refineries etc.) and broughton (BA aero ). all within striking distance of chester. quite a lot of small industries.

I'm currently traveling into London 70miles (driven up in a minibus) leaving at 6am getting back about 6pm for £160 a day. What's pay like those kind of areas?
