Very long story short (a rushed house move and complacency mainly), but I am in possession of my Hive SLT3 Single Channel heating wireless thermostat and it's Hive Hub, but not the boiler receiver.

After a costly mistake of buying a BT2 receiver and finding it's not compatible, I'm wondering - will a SLR2 (one with Hot Water control) work in place of the what I think was an SLR1 left at my old property?

I can pick an SLR2 up for half the price, and I'm thinking I can just omit the wiring for the hot water control in the receiver back plate. Only major difference I noticed was there is no common on the SLR2 backplate - does it internally carry the permanent live over to the relevant terminal on switching or will I need a bit of wire to bridge it?

Cheers guys.

Yes, I think it should work as long as the back plate is wired using the diagram for the 2 channel receiver, but with the hot water wire not connected.
