My mate has emigrated to America. He is a spark, and says they do very little testing. Basically turn it on , if it dosent trip it's good.
Takes me back!!

Here in Australia they rely on their RCD's too much. As long as the RCD doesn't trip everything's fine. Overload doesn't even compute.
